All four printers are optimized for mission critical environments, printing high volumes of documents such as reports, transactional statements, process documentation, or direct mail. These new high-speed printing solutions will enable Nashuatec to help companies streamline their workflow and reduce their total cost of printing.
The DDP 70e and DDP 92 are ideal for high volume production environments such as data processing and host printing, with speeds of 70 prints per minutes on the DDP 70e and 92 ppm on the DDP 92. The DDP 184 combines high-speed printing and spot colour, with twin production-ready printer engines to deliver 184 images per minute, in duplex mode. The highest model in the range, the EMP 156 has a phenomenal print speed of 156 ppm, perfect for service bureaus and Print-on-Demand (POD) applications. Online staple finishing is available with the DDP models and all four printers offer high capacity stacking.
"According to InfoTrends, the Western European Print-on-Demand and Data Processing Printer Market, including equipment, supplies and service revenue, is projected to increase at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7% between 2003 and 2008," explains Kenji Tasaki, Manager of Nashuatec’s High-End Production (HEP) Business Development Department, "We have the ambition to become a leading player in this segment. We now offer a complete portfolio of high-end printers, backed by the global services and supported infrastructure associated with Nashuatec.”
Nashuatec’s dedicated printer sales and support network, complete with training facilities and new logistic streams, has been instrumental in Nashuatec’s success since entering the HEP printer market in October 2005. This robust infrastructure puts Nashuatec in a strong position to deliver standalone printers, as well as meet more complex customer requirements, such as a total host-printing solution that combines hardware, software and services, throughout the EMEA region.
Reliability and ease-of-use are core attributes of Nashuatec’s entire printer portfolio. Following this tradition, Nashuatec’s HEP printer series is designed to be easily maintained by the Operator, vital in production printing environments, leading to better up-time and minimal interruption during production. The DDP 70e offers an engine life of 20 million images, increasing to an incredible 90 million images on the EMP 156. For unattended runs and high-volume production, the EMP 156 can print up to 4.5 million pages per month and stack 8,000 sheets on-line.
These high-end solutions are expected to make an impact in the market, especially when used in conjunction with Nashuatec’s comprehensive range of software and document workflow management applications, including Micro Press and doc-Q-manager. Some major partner solutions, such as Mercury and Blue Server are available for data conversion from host environments to PCL or PostScript. For electronic forms and variable data printing Planet Press is available.
