DX 4545 – Cost-efficient CopyPrinting in LAN environments

Nashuatec today announced the launch of its DX 4545 CopyPrinter. This affordable device offers a combination of high productivity and excellent print quality. Its robust engine has a duty cycle of up to 600,000 prints per month. With an optional network controller, the DX 4545 can be embedded in a LAN network. The device specifically targets schools, government offices and other public service environments with mid-range workflows.

Upgraded with an RPCS™ network controller, it has the network and document management utilities of a Nashuatec MFP. The optional controller supports @Remote, a cost-accounting option with which customers can monitor and control their document costs.”

The DX 4545 is a fast and feature-rich device. Its first print appears after 24 seconds or less. After that, the device produces up to 120 prints per minute. This speed does not detract from the quality. The retry paper feed processes all paper types smoothly. Buffer fins on the machine’s side fences ensure excellent paper alignment. The DX 4545 accepts paper sizes up to A3, as well as envelopes and cards of up to 209.3 g/m². Lightweight paper poses no problem either, due to the print pressure control system.

Nashuatec’s patented HQ (High Quality) technology creates smooth half-tones and solid fills. Specially developed inks and masters result in an even distribution of the ink drops. In Fine Mode, the device makes masters with a resolution of 400 x 600 dpi. Eminently durable, these masters last as long as 4,000 prints. Spot colour printing is possible with optional colour drum units. These colour drums are easily replaceable. The HQ ink is available in fifteen standard colours; others can be custom-made.

The more prints are made from one master, the lower the cost of the DX 4545’s prints. This is true of all CopyPrinters. The DX 4545 has other financially beneficial characteristics. Its HQ duplication system is engineered to consume 20% less ink than conventional processes. Moreover, the device has an auto-shutoff function that reduces energy use. CopyPrinters already use less electricity than other printer types: their printing process does not require heat. The machine is also quiet, and thus well-suited for placement in an office environment. Language selection has been extended to include Turkish and Russian.
