The SP C820DN and SP C821DN print 40 and 50 pages per minute respectively, and this in both colour and monochrome. A warm-up time of less than 34 seconds and quick first print speeds of nine seconds maximum contribute to a high productivity level. The devices’ speed is due to their high-performance controllers. The SP C820DN has a 600 MHz CPU; the SP C821DN comes with a robust Intel Celeron 1 GHz CPU.

The devices’ prints are characterised by crispness and accurate colours. The SP C820DN and SP C821DN are equipped with a special matching system that can simulate offset colours. Their multi-bit technology, capable of producing different dot sizes, results in subtle details and smooth image rendering. The print resolution is an outstanding real 1,200 dpi. To meet a variety of print requirements, the SP C820DN/SP C821DN accept a wide range of media, including coated and glossy paper, transparencies and card stock. Paper of up to 256 g/m² can be fed from all trays, and the duplex tray handles paper of up to 169 g/m². Sizes range from B4 to A3.

A number of useful options are available for the SP C820DN and SP C821DN. Customers who need finished documents can fit their printer out with a 1,000-sheet booklet finisher or a 3,000-sheet finisher, with or without punch unit. This finisher can be combined with a jogger unit to tidy and store output. An optional 4-bin mailbox sorts printed documents.

In the SP C820DN/SP C821DN, versatility and functionality go hand in hand with ease of use. The different paper stocks are easy to manage because the printer driver displays their weight in its settings. Users have only to select the appropriate setting to keep the printing process smooth. The status of the consumables is always visible on the operation panel.
